One after another, two cargo airplanes landed today, with 8 new ambulances
and M.I.C.U (Mobile Intensive Care Unit), that were transported to MDA
stations in the north of the country, in order to reinforce the ambulance
formation that is in the region for the past 27 days. The ambulances were
contributed by Canadian Jews, who immediately responded to MDA's request
for help. One evening was enough to raise the generous contribution.
The activities of the Canadian friends is as an acknowledgment to the
efforts of MDAS teams who have treated over 2000 casualties since the
war began, showing bravery on arriving first-on-scene and treating casualties
under missile attacks.
The new ambulances will raise the ability of MDA to treat and transfer
casualties, and enable prompt treatment in events requiring multiple treatment
zone, as was seen last night in Haifa, when a Katyusha rocket hit an apartment
building and other sites simultaneously .
